In working with Wendolyn, I have learned how to better prioritize different areas of my life and finding a sustainable work/life balance. I knew something needed to stift but I felt pulled in too many directions to figure out how.

Working with Wendolyn was a wonderful experience. She is incredibly supportive, thoughtful, and insightful! She consistently offered meaningful resources and helped me reconnect with priorities I hadn’t been giving enough attention to. Her encouragement felt both grounding and motivating.

As a result of our work together, I feel I’ve given myself real permission to refill my own bucket and to put on my own oxygen mask first. This brings out the best version of myself in helping others. The ongoing positive reinforcement and resources she shared throughout each week were especially impactful.

Working with Wendolyn has been a substantial improvement in my life, not just as a mom and a therapist, but as a person overall. I’m deeply grateful for the clarity and balance I gained through our work together.

There’s a saying that goes something like, “your presence is your present.” I have come to understand the truth of that ethos through my many years of work with Ms. Wendolyn Davis, whom I met during my health and wellness journey. Her patients benefit from her presence in every therapeutic moment — and I offer this letter as an enthusiastic recommendation of her as a clinician.

First, Ms. Davis has a presence of mind. In our work together, it became clear that she was consistently learning, researching, and thinking deeply between sessions. Her practice is informed by voracious reading and a sincere commitment to growth. She never offered generic advice; she offered thoughtful, individualized insight. In my case, I struggled — and still sometimes struggle — with overeating and thoughtless snacking. Ms. Davis guided me toward self-centering strategies that helped me see that caring for a healthier version of myself wasn’t superficial; it was essential to my healing.

Second, Ms. Davis has a presence of spirit. I always appreciated the way she could acknowledge the difficulty of change without judgment. Occasionally, she would share a small reflection from her own encounters with challenge — never in a way that shifted focus away from my process, but in a way that grounded the work in humanity. She honors the fallibility of the human heart, and she communicates that growth is not a straight line. Her approach made it easier to be honest, to persist, and to continue evolving.

Third, Ms. Davis has a presence of heart. I’ll admit that I often arrived to sessions without a clear plan. I’m a “let’s get to the point” person by nature, but over time I learned that I didn’t need a perfect agenda — Ms. Davis created a space where my intuition could lead, and where we could reach challenging truths safely. Her ability to reframe thoughts and patterns is one of her greatest strengths. One of the most enduring lessons she gave me — professionally and personally — is to “watch my vibe,” to consider how I move through the world and affect others, both in small moments and in larger ways.

Before I close this recommendation, I’ll answer the question some might wonder: did I reach every goal I originally came in with? Some of those goals remain lifelong work — but after years with Ms. Davis, I understand that the most meaningful measure of success is not a single outcome. The real success has been meeting new versions of myself over and over again, with greater awareness, courage, and care.

And that was the most treasured present Ms. Davis ever gave me.

When my Dr. referred me to Wendolyn, I had been traumatized, victimized and had a false police report filed against me, was arrested and spent two nights in jail by my own Son and his wife.  I cried every day, sometimes all day.  I was stuck and was continuing to allow what was done to me to continue to victimize me.  I had no joy in my life. I was trying to survive without knowing how to do so.  I had no direction and felt like I was losing my mind.

Wendolyn truly opened the door for me. I as only seeing negativity all around me.  She showed me that there were positive things that were also happening.  Through repeated sessions, I began to see the positive things.  I enjoy helping others.  It makes me happy to help others.  When you are focused on helping others, you are not so focused on your problems.  I remember what My Mother used to say-She grew up in The Great Depression.  Her and her Sisters had to share the clothing and shoes so that they could all go to school some days.  When I would be upset as a child, not getting some small thing I wanted, she would say "I cried because I had no shoes...until I saw a man who had no feet"It really puts things into perspective.  So, since I was busy being someone else's hero (lol) She told me to "Be your own hero".  I didn't understand it at first. I was still too wrapped up in still being a victim.  She helped me to be able to help myself. She was right! I can be me own hero by giving myself a well deserved break and not being so hard on myself.  Also to be kind to myself.  To give myself the same care, consideration and love that I show others.  I am now My Own Hero thanks to Wendolyn.  She made me realize that yes, I had been victimized and mistreated but now it was time to re-claim my life that was stolen from me. I am no longer a victim :-)

Wendolyn is a highly intelligent and caring person. She cares deeply about people and their well being.  It comes through in what she says and does.  In also how she speaks with you-her caring comes through and I could feel that she cared.  She helped me to heal the hurt that had been done.  I consider Wendolyn a close Friend.

I once again have confidence and joy in my life.  I have things that I am looking forward to (moving to Georgia to be with My Sister!) My energy is now positive and is focused on the future-My Future!  No longer focused on the past and I am no longer a Victim.  I have ME Back!!

Thank you Wendolyn!

Wendolyn is a wonderful coach! She is not only knowledgeable in the health arena, but also has a lot to offer in life- coaching. She understands the power of our thoughts and knows how to put that to work in every life area. Her passion is teaching others how to live a better life through the food we eat. I am appreciative the things that she has taught me.

I loved the "How to Lose Weight Without Dieting Class".   Wendolyn presents herself well and she's very professional. I like that it’s a lifestyle and I pick the information that’s best for me. I know if I use the tools that are taught I will have the results I am wanting.

I know this isn't a quick fix and that I have a choice and am changing every aspect of my life.  I learned that life is too short to be beating myself up.  I finally see myself differently and it's love for myself that is bringing happiness.  I no longer turn to food when I'm stressed.  Working with Wendolyn was exactly what I needed to finally love myself and start achieving my weight loss goals.

I love that this weight loss plan is not a diet and you don’t have to measure out or weigh everything you do. You don’t have to feel deprived because you’re on a specific diet.   I gave my doctor your business cards and told her that what you’re doing is really good and you’re really good at it and I told my doctor that she doesn’t give you a diet to follow. And she responded diets don’t work anyway.

Keeps me accountable-

I have been through a weight loss journey in the past and this program is reminding me to get back on track again. I didn’t’ realize how much our thoughts and emotions can affect the way we eat. I really enjoyed the’8 traits of emotional hunger’ list. It helped me to see what type of eating habits I have and what I need to do to change that. Thank you!

I have been working with Wendolyn for a little over a year now. When we first started working together, I was depressed, anxious and had constant conflicts in many relationships in my life (family and friends).

Through self-reflection, boundary setting, learning coping mechanisms, and always remembering to live faith-based, my mental stability has done a full 180.

Wendolyn has helped me change my entire way of thinking to empower me to control my own life instead of trying to control the people around me. I have been able to repair many relationships with my loved ones by simply “letting go” and accepting them for who they are.

My anxiety has gone down tremendously because Wendolyn has helped me create routines and habits that set me up for success before the anxiety creeps in. With these tools, I have been able to eat better through meal prepping and sleep better with establishing a sleep routine.

Additionally, Wendolyn is just a great person to talk to. She is nurturing enough to open up to, yet firm enough to hold me accountable. She shares things that she has learned in her life, which makes her extremely relatable and I never feel as if she is judging me or the decisions I make. Wendolyn is solutions based, so she never lets me dwell in the negative, she gives me the space to problem solve and reach conclusions.

I have enjoyed my time with Wendolyn and always look forward to our sessions. She has been a blessing in my life and I am thankful for her!

I am 43 years old.  Nine years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.  Losing weight and getting healthy seemed out of my reach.  I tried everything.  So I thought. My self-esteem was shot, I had no confidence.  I wouldn't even look in the mirror.  I felt defeated.  I just gave up.  I started working with Wendolyn in May of 2020 and with her help I have not only lost over 30 pounds (so far), I have learned to love myself and my body.  My self esteem is up and I'm doing what I thought was impossible.  I have learned what works for me and what doesn't.  She has been a true blessing in my life and I feel better than I ever have.  I look forward to continuing my journey with her and to reaching all my goals cause I now know I can.

I signed up with Wendolyn for a 3 month health/wellness coaching session. I felt like she could help me learn some tools to get through my weight roller coaster. As the weeks went on, I also learned valuable lessons and tools for overall life situations. She taught me so, so much. Never did I realize that it all starts with my thoughts. As I look back on those three months, I am a changed person for the better! Having Wendolyn coach me towards a better life made me want to share that knowledge with family and friends. Now there is a group of 13 of us who gather weekly through zoom meetings taught by Wendolyn. I am so happy! Thank you Wendolyn! You're the best!

Wendolyn's positivity is contagious. Often I've joined our sessions feeling content with where I was in life, but somehow she always manages to lift me higher. Her ability to translate my lofty ambitions into achievable and attainable goals is amazing. She has blessed my life and encouraged me in ways I will be forever grateful for. I cannot recommend her enough.  I am more positive and I am proud of my accomplishments. She makes me think things through to the best conclusion and I have grown and soared under her tutelage. I have taken on a huge project for the Anglican Diocese of Fort Worth to set up a women’s congress next spring. I would never have done this before. She has been a wonderful inspiration for me.  I love the videos and I look forward to each new concept. Keep them coming!!! Thanks for the inspiration and personal insights.

Wendolyn is an excellent coach. She takes time to listen to you and then provide solutions. She is very inspiring and motivating.  I reach out to pantry for junk food and she told me to Pause and Think. This has really helped me. She is as good as it gets. She is always patient and pleasant. Keep it up!

Alex

I can’t think of a coaching session where I wasn’t challenged or had a break through. I genuinely feel like I am growing as I have each session, and I am able to apply what I discover throughout our sessions to my everyday life. I enjoy speaking with Wendolyn because she isn’t afraid to help me dig deeper and get to the root of my problems, and I love that there is always a game plan laid out before we are done. I always have direction or goals to act out, and I like that I have things to work on in between the times we meet.

I've been a client of Wendolyn for the past two years, and she has helped me in countless ways. She's not just my coach but also a guiding voice when it comes to nutrition. Wendolyn truly lives what she preaches—nothing she puts in her body is ever processed, even when she's on vacation. She has an endless supply of tips for living healthier, and she's always willing to share them.

Trish

Wendolyn has helped me tremendously over the last 15 months find myself and my worthiness. She has taught me self respect and making good choices. I have set new goals and I am achieving them daily. I have learned new life skills and I employ them everyday.  I am calmer, more tolerant, better prepared.
